Who We Are

"Alfa", "we", "us" and "our" mean the team operating Alfa 2.0 at startalfa.com. You can contact us through in-app Support or at alfie@welovealfa.com.

Information You Give Alfa

Depending on how you use the app, you may provide:

Information Collected Automatically

We and our service providers may process technical information needed to run and protect the service, including IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, request timestamps, error logs, rate-limit events, security signals and approximate location inferred from network data. We use this to host the app, prevent abuse, debug problems and understand whether core features work.

Browser Storage

Alfa uses browser storage so the app feels immediate on desktop and mobile. This can include localStorage, IndexedDB, Cache Storage and the service worker cache.

Clearing browser data may remove locally stored Alfa history and generated files from that device. Export tools inside the app are intended to help you keep a local backup.

AI Employees And Generated Work

When you use an AI employee, Alfa sends the content needed to answer or generate the requested output. Recent app updates added or expanded image, deck, voice, music, video, project-board, analytics, favorites and Raj coaching-call features, so this policy now covers those workflows explicitly.

AI requests may be processed by providers such as Google Gemini, Anthropic, Supabase edge functions, Tavus and Daily. We do not sell your prompts or use them to train an Alfa-owned model. Third-party AI providers process inputs and outputs to provide the requested feature under their own terms, security controls and data processing arrangements.

Video Calls, Camera, Microphone And Recordings

Raj coaching calls use your camera and microphone only after you choose to start or join a call and grant browser permission. The local lobby preview runs on your device until you join. The live call is handled by Tavus and Daily.

Recent updates enabled recording and playback for call history. When a call is created, Tavus may record it so you can replay it later from Alfa history. Recording links are fetched only when needed. Do not start or record a call unless everyone involved has agreed.

Accounts, Analytics And Favorites

Some areas, including private analytics and saved favorites, require sign-in. Clerk handles account login and may process your email, name, profile image, user ID, session state and organization or team data. Supabase supports selected account-backed data, edge functions, rate limits and security controls.

Support And Messages

If you contact Support, Intercom may process your message, email, name, account identifiers, browser details and conversation history with Support. We use this to reply, troubleshoot, improve the app and keep a record of support requests.

Payments And Referrals

If Alfa offers paid plans, subscriptions, discounts, cancellation flows or referrals, payment and referral providers may process the information needed to handle checkout, invoices, taxes, fraud prevention, commission tracking and account administration. Do not enter full payment card details anywhere except a trusted payment-provider checkout.

Third-Party Tools You Connect

Some widgets can connect to third-party services or public data sources at your direction. For example, Alfa may call Trello, Stripe, weather, exchange-rate, news, status, GitHub, Wikipedia, arXiv, DuckDuckGo, QR and RSS services when you use the relevant feature. Those providers receive the request details needed to return the result.

How We Use Information

Legal Bases

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on the following legal bases: contract performance to provide Alfa, legitimate interests to secure and improve the service, consent where the browser or law asks for it, and legal obligation where we must keep records or respond to lawful requests.

Sharing

We share information with service providers only as needed to operate Alfa, process the feature you selected, provide support, handle payments or comply with law. We do not sell personal information.

Retention

Browser-local data stays on your device until you delete it, clear site data or use in-app deletion controls. Account, support, billing, security and rate-limit records are kept for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations and maintain business records. Tavus/Daily recordings may remain available until deleted or expired under provider retention settings.

Your Choices And Rights

Children

Alfa is not intended for children under 13, and it is not directed to children. Do not use Alfa if you are not old enough to consent to these terms in your country.

International Transfers

Alfa and its providers may process information in the United Kingdom, United States, European Economic Area and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections.

Changes

We may update this policy as Alfa changes. If an update is material, we will take reasonable steps to make it visible in the app or on this page.
